ESWC 2011

The eleventh ESWC

While the 11th moon of Jupiter is called Himalia we simply call it ESWC: European Software Conference. Staying planetarian: Apollo 11 was the first manned spacecraft to land on the Moon, we landed in London and it was a very successful and joyous mission demonstrating again the fine work of our global MicroISV community. While known "territory" was secured we were able to conquer new lands of knowledge, networking and fun.

Our Software Industry is at the heart of progress, with the MicroISVs constituting the ferment of modernity. With even more participants we were well and prepared to enjoy a great variety of sessions and to encounter many known and new faces from places that have come to join our common habitat of prosperity, embracing the whole of Europe. We were witnessing a truely worldwide representation of human ingenuity.

The Epsilon Award was won by Oliver Grahl Software and his PDF Annotator and second placed was MainType by High-Logic B.V. (Erwin Denissen)!

Thank you so much to all participants and sponsors.

Here are a few impressions, speeches and presentations from this 11th annual European Software Conference, the premiere event for the European Software and MicroISV Community held in November 2011 in London, United Kingdom. And while you are watching and reading: Please sign up for the ESWC 2012 on November 24 and 25 in Munich!

The conference was packed with invaluable information
for any software author. I also really enjoyed the social
side - It made a nice break from my normal hermit-like
working life. I certainly hope to attend future conferences.

I just wanted to congratulate for the perfect ESWC conference this year. It has been a real pleasure to participate and there have been plenty of well performed presentations. Again thanks a lot for organizing this event. I'm looking forward meeting you again next year.
